Third Sunday in Ordinary Time/C.
Christ is the Word of God among us. The Gospel is not a novel or a biography, but is Truth that transcends the centuries.
Saint Luke presents the speech of Jesus in the synagogue of Nazareth: He is the Messiah, sent by God and consecrated by the Spirit, to speak on behalf of the Lord, bringing his mercy and, therefore, freedom and help to the needy, the poor, the oppressed.
The Christian has the task of welcoming this Word so that it illuminates his path.
Let us entrust all the devotees of the Archangel to his protection and pray that the Spirit also descends upon us, to make us capable of announcing freedom from the slavery of sin, and a year of graces from the Lord.
