XXXIII Sunday of Ordinary Time/B, the penultimate appointment of the liturgical year.
The Christian knows that the Lord will come and awaits Him. The Gospel passage emphasizes, in apocalyptic terms, the end of Jerusalem, but in reality it foretells the final coming of Christ, the time of which is unknown.
This requires vigilance: every day is decisive for salvation, and precisely this uncertainty must urge believers to do God’s will.
