The Feast of the Baptism of the Lord concludes the Christmas season.
Baptism is like the consecration of Jesus and of the Christian: it is the new life that God gives us and that will be perfect in the definitive encounter with Him.
In the Gospel, Jesus officially appears as the Son of God, full of the presence of the Holy Spirit: thus begins his mission.
Christian Baptism therefore creates a relationship with the divine Persons and opens to a task of good to be carried out also for the benefit of brothers.
May the Archangel teach us to recognize and welcome, in Jesus, the Christ and to become his imitators.
