XXVIII Sunday in Ordinary Time/B.
Poverty is essential for the authentic following of the Son of God.
The rich young man in today’s Gospel does not have the courage to follow Jesus because he is too attached to the riches he should leave behind.
In a society that privileges possessions and things, the Christian follows Jesus in poverty, puts His Word into practice and uses the goods of this earth with detachment.
Let us entrust all the faithful to the protection of the Archangel and together let us pray that the Spirit will help us to strip ourselves of our securities to clothe ourselves with the Grace of the Lord.
