After receiving episcopal ordination, on 26 January Monsignor Franco Moscone will begin his pastoral ministry in the Diocese of Manfredonia – Vieste – San Giovanni Rotondo.
The new Archbishop will be welcomed at the Basilica of S. Maria di Siponto by the Chapter of the Cathedral of Manfredonia, by that of Concattedrale di Vieste and by the Mayor of Manfredonia. A reserved moment of prayer will follow in front of the Icon of the Virgin of Siponto.
At 15.30 he will go to Manfredonia where he will walk the central course to the square of the parish church of the Carmine where he will meet the youth of the Archdiocese. Then it will reach the Town Hall to receive the greetings of the Civil and Military Authorities of the Territory.
At 16.45, from the Church of S. Domenico, the procession of bishops, clergy, authorities and people will unfold, towards the Cathedral where the rite of taking possession of the episcopal chair takes place with the reading of the Papal Bull of appointment of . Franco Moscone to Archbishop of Manfredonia-Vieste-S.Giovanni Rotondo.
The Eucharistic Concelebration will follow in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII.
